Description
The Roly poly or the Armadillidiidae has played in integral part of the eco system since forever. Then people removed all the good plants (dandilions, marigolds, comfrey etc) thinking that they have no purpose and are merely weeds taking up water. Never realising that they are removing the greens that help retain soil moisture. Pests soon started taking over with all the plants stressing. Soon pest control killed all the good insects too.
But don’t fear, there are still some good ones out there.
These guys even break down heavy metals in your compost pile, whilst depositing copper! How about that! almost like the golden goose!
