Golden Raspberry cutting

Golden raspberry is a rare berry that produces golden fruits which is great because birds are attracted to the bright red and black fruits rather than lighter colours. So you might get away with having enough fruits to make your own golden berry jam.

It is important that you do not keep this cutting in full sun. If you have a patio that gets a lot of light that is the best spot. Keep the medium moist but not waterlogged. Best to use a spray bottle rather than drenching it with a watering can. If your cutting drops all the leaves, it is okay. It is normal for top part of the cutting to die back. Berries root easily and you should see the first leaves shoot within 2 to 3 months. Then when your plant is strong, you can transplant it to wherever you like. Noting that berries have spreading root systems, if you do not have enough space in your vegetable patch, keep your berry in a container. Where you can contain it.
