Description
Comfrey is a versatile herb for the garden and not only loosens the soil but also acts as a mulch and fertilizer for fruit trees and vegetables. Comfrey crowns are roots that rooted and started sprouting leaves. If you don’t have a lot of luck with growing rhizomes because you cant see them and you keep on disturbing the roots because you are digging it up every day to see if it is doing anything. This is for you. You can see the green at the top and a piece of root so you won’t dry out your rhizome that easily and you don’t have to dig it up disturbing it and hindering the growth.
They are frost sensitive but will continue growing if kept in a warm area like a patio and transplant into the ground in spring.
